Hello swimmers and parents, 

First and foremost, please take the time to my entire emails thoughly.  There is an abundant amount of information packed into each one.  

1.  We had a wonderful first day of practice today.  The coaches and kids had fun with the dry land activities!!  The weather was perfect and is projected to be warm all week.  The warm temperatures and zero percent chance of rain in the forecast will help the pool warm up nicely.  

2.  The Dunmoor Diamondbacks are collecting gently used bathing suits for children in Guatemala.  There will be a collection bin near the entrance of the pool where you can drop them off this week.  Deadline is Friday, so get to cleaning out those closets!  All sizes are needed.  However, no bikinis will be accepted.  Modest tankinis are acceptable.  Diamondbacks, thanks for helping other less fortunate swimmers!

3.  If you ordered a team suit at the fitting or on the website with free shipping, I have your suits.  I will bring them to practice each day.  Make sure you and /or your child remembers to pick it up.  Also make sure that your child tries it on!  Don't wait until the mock meet to try it on, please!

4.  I have added our meets and stroke clinics to the calendar on the website.  NEW THIS YEAR......I will NOT be keeping track of swimmer availability for meets via email this year.  It will be YOUR responsibility to RSVP "YES" OR "NO" TO EACH MEET.  (Even if you have already emailed me).  I have opened up the meet RSVP options on the website.  If you are absolutely positive you will or will not be at a meet, you may now go in now and RSVP to the meet on our website www.dunmoor.swim-team.us  You will see the meets listed either on the left side under events or by clicking on the "calendar".  To RSVP, you click on the "RSVP" icon  Then simply check the box yes or no next to each swimmer.  Also enter the # of adults that will attend.  Finally click "Save".  In the "RSVP" icon box, a green dot will appear if you have a swimmer available, a red dot will appear if you do not have a swimmer available.  (It is really that EASY!  Just a few clicks!).  **Please note: the deadline to RSVP for each meet is listed under event details.  It will be the Friday or Saturday PRIOR to the meet.  RSVP's can be changed up until the deadline.  Fees will be charged if you need to change your availability after the deadline.

5.  We need sponsors!  If you know of a company that would like to sponsor our swim team, please let me know!! 

FINALLY, Thanks for allowing your swimmers to swim with us this season!  I'm really looking forward to having FUN this season and seeing the kids improve not only in their techniques, but in their confidence and sportsmanship too.  That is what summer league is all about!!
