The ASA website includes an abundant amount of information regarding parking, seating, maps, web cams. If you have any questions, feel free to ask your Team Rep, coaches, or a swimmer that has competed at the ASA Champion Meet in the past! It is truly an amazing experience!

For those of you who are new to our team or those of you who haven't considered the Championship meet in the past, here is a list of FAQ's which we hope will help you decide if you would like to participate.

Q: What is the ASA Championship Meet?

A: This is the final meet of the season where your swimmer gets to swim against all the teams in our division (We are the North Division). They will swim against teams we have swum against as well as other teams who are in our division but we didn't meet.

Q: Where is the ASA Championship Meet held?

A: It is held at the indoor pool on the campus of Georgia Tech.  This is the pool where the 1996 Olympics were held so your swimmer will get to swim in the same pool where Olympic medals were won.  Another bonus is that it is indoors and air conditioned.

Q: Our regular meets take 3 hours and that is just with 2 teams, how long will it take with many teams?

A: The championship meet takes the same amount of time as a regular meet. It is run very similar to a regular meet. The meet is run very efficiently as it is a 50m pool that is broken down into 2 (25) yard pools.  This allows the boys and girls to compete at the same time.  It is fascinating to watch how smooth this meet runs considering there are thousands of swimmers over the course of a few days.  

Q: Does my swimmer need to have come 1st in their races during the regular season to participate?

A: Absolutely not! Any of our swimmers can participate. This meet is a really fun way to see a great indoor facility, experience what the champion swimmers experience and see all their friends from other neighborhoods who are swimming in the Divisionals with us.

Q: Is there a cost associated with this meet?

A: There is no extra cost included to participate in this meet. It was paid when you registered for swim team! 

Q: Why else should I swim in the ASA championship meet?

A: It's the last meet of the season! Any points that our swimmers get in the ASA Championship Meet count towards our final total for the season. The ASA championship meet is also a chance to qualify for the GRPA State meet. At the GRPA State Meet, Dunmoor Diamondbacks will be swimming with the City of Alpharetta- COAST.
