Congratulations to our swimmers of the week this week!!!!

11&Up's:  Katie Heaney and Charles Hedrick

 

Our final meet of the season is at HOME on TUESDAY, June 28th against Woodfield.  RSVP's were due TODAY for this meet!  Coach Trey has asked that our theme this meet be "Tie Dye" - which everyone should be able to participate in with our team shirts!  And unlike away meets we need a lot of volunteers to run a home meet!  Let's make our last meet of 2016 awesome!

 

Poster Contest!  We will be having a poster contest for our final meet as well.  Swimmers are asked to make a poster to be hung up around the pool for our meet.  Swimmers may bring their posters to practice on Monday or Tuesday (or bring it to the meet with them).  There were will be awards (such as "Best Diamondback", "Most Colorful", etc.)!  Swimmers may also work with a partner if they want but we ask that no more than two swimmers per poster.  And please make sure your swimmer includes their name and age on the back of their poster.  (The poster contest is not mandatory)

 

Banquet!  Our team banquet is this Wednesday, June 29th at the pool.  We need some volunteers to help with cutting watermelon ahead of time and for helping serve food!  Please!!!!  If you can help out, please email our Social Chair, Tam Ahmed ([email protected]).

 

Also, on the website if you click the tab for "Team" and then click "Photos" you will see some great photos that our own team photographer, Christy Lee, has been taking at the meets!  She has done an amazing job so make sure to smile if you see her pointing the camera your way!

 

I strongly believe that everyone should take a turn at being Team Rep for the swim team and that you should committ for two years.  With that in mind it would be best if we had two Team Rep's at a time so the new one coming on can shadow the one going out.  This will make the transition from one Team Rep to another so much smoother and less stressful.  So, I need someone to step up and be a Team Rep with me next year.  If you are interested please send me an email ([email protected]).
