Timing Events tonight
Hey Team,
As a precaution for the rain tomorrow, we are going to time as many people as we can who were signed up for the Meet tomorrow. Please come at 5 pm today if you can and we will call people up to the diving blocks to do their events. Parents- we need you to step up and time please! We will record on paper and save to transfer if we should need to use these times as a Virtual Meet time tomorrow.
Best case scenario, we are able to have the Meet tomorrow and the kids get a practice in today for their events today. We plan to start at 5:00 pm tomorrow instead of 5:30 pm, weather permitting. We will make a call by 4 pm tomorrow.
Worst case: we can't hold our Meet tomorrow and we enter the times we get today or previously have for the kids. This is considered a Virtual Meet. We do not want to wait until Monday to postpone. We will have several swimmers gone then and we still can't count on the weather. That would also put us at 3 Meets in 1 week!
While these are never easy choices or situations, it is inevitable that we get a rain-out once a season. Thank goodness it has not happened more often for us!
Please come at 5pm today if possible. Bring your goggles and swim cap! Go, Diamondbacks!
