Hello Diamondbacks,

Hoping to answer some questions about tonight here:

Weather: We have good intentions to hold the Mock Meet tonight! This is important to host if we can. We get a starting of the year time for the kids which helps put them in correct lanes for winning points and our parent volunteers get to learn their new jobs! We can swim in the rain, but not if it's thundering.

If it's thundering and we are not able to swim, we will still meet in the clubhouse. We will hand out shirts and caps, have a bracelet making craft for the kids, and teach new families how to mark arms for the swim meet. We can even get you started on that for tomorrow's swim meet! The coaches and I will be there from 4:30-7 even if we have to cancel the meet- drop in when you can.

If we are able to hold the meet, there will be hotdogs and hamburgers along with snacks, candy and drinks for sale for dinner and we our grill masters are excellent! This helps us raise funds for swim team and to pay our coaches! 

Warm ups for Mock Meet will begin at 4:30. Your events/heats/lanes have been posted to your SwimTopia account on the app! You can mark arms for that now. 

Tomorrow's meet is Red, White and Blue themed! Our swimmers will be in their team swim suits, but they can wear necklaces, sunglasses, etc when they are not swimming and parent participation is HIGHLY encouraged! Have you seen Mathis's dedication to a good theme? There is no such thing as too much! 

All the details for tomorrow's meet are in a previous post on our team site. I will resend tomorrow as well. Look out for a separate email about Fun Fridays! I don't want to make this one too long. 

I need to edit our Big Fish Little Fish document. Please discard the last one. I will have a new one out soon and it begins with our first real meet.
