4 Things you need to know this week

Hello Diamondbacks! This is an exciting week for us! We have a Mock Meet and our first real meet of the season. While meets can seem overwhelming at first, once you attend a couple, you will start to get the flow of things. The coaches will be very busy helping your kids during the meet, please do not ask the coaches a lot of questions. They have been told to focus on the kids. We have a lot of seasoned parents- ask them for help during the meets!

Here are 4 Things you Need to Know this week:

1. Click Here to sign your child up for the meet! Please mark if they are available OR if they are NOT available so we know who to put into the events. It is very hard to change anything after the meet has been merged and shared with the other team. Please sign up for this by Wednesday at 12:00 pm and let us know if anything changes ASAP.

We need volunteers! If your child is swimming, we need one parent per family to volunteer for a shift. Deborah has divided the shifts into first half and second half, to help spread the love! The Sign up for the Volunteers is on the same page that you sign your child up to swim. Don’t be shy! We will teach you how to do a job!

2. Here is the link for the meet procedures and expectations: Click Here. This will show you how to mark arms, what to bring and what to expect. Again, it can seem overwhelming if you are brand new to this. Read over these guidelines and ask veteran parents for help! Please mark your child’s arm BEFORE they come to the meet and don’t put sunscreen on this area!

3. Tomorrow is the last day to register for Big Fish Little Fish. Ella is going to put the list together after tomorrow, please sign up if your child wants a buddy!

4. Lastly, in case of inclement weather there are 3 different directions we can go in- please read up on the guidelines here: Inclement Weather

Speaking of the weather, we are keeping an eye on it this week and will let you know if practice gets canceled as soon as possible. Fingers crossed that it doesn't get in our way this week.

See you soon!
