Mock Meet Update
Hello all,
I have been in touch with many of the swim teams in our area today and they have all held their practices as usual today- some starting at 8 am! We are planning to still hold our mock meet and get in the pool. We will do dry land warm ups, pool warm ups and then run the meet like a regular meet. Each swimmer will only have one or two events to swim. We are safe to swim in the rain as long as it's not raining so hard that we can't see the bottom and there is no thunder/lightening. Come down and have some fun with us!
If it is pouring and is not safe, we will dry off, move into the clubhouse and hang with our Bigs and Littles. I have a bracelet craft they can do together and just get to know each other. Parents can visit and ask questions too.
Sandra will have concessions for purchase like chips, candy and drinks. We are not going to do more food than that incase we have a small turnout tonight.
Swim Meets are held in the rain when it rains, so this is just good practice for those times :)
Come down and have fun with us! Let you kid dance in the rain, they'll love it!
Remember to bring a couple of towels to dry your swimmer off with, dry sweats and a blanket too!
