Hi Team,

Please remember to sign yourself and your child up for our swim meet this Thursday. Our success depends on all of our volunteers and we need more for home meets. We will have concessions available for purchase- Hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, and candy- thank you Sandra for planning this! We need all swimmers signed up for the meet by Wednesday at 3 pm. On Thursday, we will warm up at 4:30, please have your child's arm marked before they get in the pool. Everyone did such a great job with this last time and the coaches were able to focus on the kids and coach them! Thank you! 

In the case of inclement weather, I have attached our policy below. Basically, we will closely monitor the weather and let you know as soon as possible what we will do. Safety is the most important! 

For practices this week- I will also let you know as soon as I can. The weather changes often, and we want to practice if we can. If we cannot, I will send out some YouTube videos that you and your swimmers can watch if you choose with some swimming tips.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Care and safety of swimmers and spectators is of utmost importance in the event of inclement weather. If the weather is questionable, the coordinators will monitor the weather, and post an immediate post to the website and also email all parent/athlete subscribers immediately if practice/meets are delayed and/or canceled.

In the event of questionable weather, the referee/starter will delay the meet for 30 minutes if there is lightening or thunder in the area. If the delay lasts longer than 30 minutes, there are several options available. Decisions are based on the continuing weather pattern and where we are in the meet. Depending on those factors; the meet could be delayed further, postponed to another day, or called. These decisions are made by the coaches and team reps of both teams. Any and all decisions are made with the safety of everyone at the meet in mind; and are not made lightly.
