Parents, 

Tonight is our first home meet.  Things will be a little different as we will be the one running things.

You are receiving this email because you have signed up to volunteer for tonight’s meet. Please be there on the early side so you can get signed in, get your name tag, and have any questions about your job answered. I will be there to help and answer questions. I have assigned everyone a job and will hand them out on site due to last minute changes that occur.  Jobs will change each week to allow everyone to experience all areas of the meets.  Please let me know if there has been a change in your schedule and you are unable to attend.  I will meet everyone near the baby pool at 4:30 to pass out your job badges (so we know who is doing what), and job description. Please sign in with me so I have a record of everyone who is volunteering. We will have a special gift for your help at the end of the season!

Thank you for your time tonight, we cannot make these meets happen without our amazing volunteers! Have fun, its such a great experience!!

NEW THIS WEEK:  

1.  We do not have shifts, there are not enough volunteers to do so.  That being said we have built in an EXTRA system.  If you are not assigned a job but have volunteered, you will be an EXTRA.  Extras will be considered Runners.  Your job will be to walk around occasionally to make sure volunteers have water, have a chance to take a bathroom/food break, and take on their job if they need to leave early.  If you require an extra and can’t find one please let myself or one of the Deck managers know. 

2. We will not have Lane Parents this Meet, the coaches will fill these roles as they know the kids better.  Instead we will have 2 Deck Managers and 4 Bull Pen Parents.  As Mark said, it is the Bull Pen parent’s job to make sure the kids are heading to their blocks.  But, its the parents’ job to make sure the kids are in the bull pen.  

3. Volunteers and Swimmers will have access to free waters.

4,  It’s going to be HOT, please take a break when needed, ee will find someone to fill in.
