Meets and Volunteerism
Parents,
I hope everyone had a great weekend and wonderful Mother's Day. I wanted to let you know that I need 2 things from you.
1. Indicate which meets your child(ren) will be swimming in via our website.
2. Volunteer to work at the meets also via our website.
I have updated our website to display the meet schedule where you can RSVP for your kids to swim. You will see the links on the tab labeled "Swim Meets" on the top navigation bar. We will make meet lineups based on these RSVP lists. If your child is not listed on these lists, they will not be able to race in the meet. There will be a deadline for entering your children into each meet closer to that meet date; I do not have those deadlines identified yet.
I have also opened up the Volunteer positions for each meet. We should be able to run each meet with just 10 people for away meets and 15 people for home meets. If you can't work for the whole meet, you can find someone to cover half of your shift (but you will be responsible for that position). And/or, if you can't work one meet, sign up for the next meet. I am confident that we can run all of our meets by working together and helping each other.
I will follow-up with more emails as we get closer to remind you to sign-up if you haven't already and with more specific deadlines.
