Practice tomorrow
Parents,
We put covers on the pool last week, and the temperature of the pool is up to 80 degrees as of tonight! It will still be a little chilly for our smallest swimmers, but it won't be an ice bath! (FYI: Competition pools are kept between 78-80; Y pools are usually kept around 84).
It appears to be some rain and thunderstorms tomorrow. As of now, we still have practice. Generally speaking, we will swim in the rain (actually one of my favorite things to do!) We will not swim if there are thunderstorms. After each sound of thunder or observation of lightning, we will take a 30 min break. The clock is restarted after each occurrence.
CAPS: each swimmer will receive a latex team cap for free. If you would like more caps, you can purchase them for $5/ea. We also silicone caps you can purchase for $10/ea. I will pass out the latex cap at the first practice.

one more thing: we have a few colleges that have donated some t-shirts and other apparel. We will be doing give-aways throughout the season for the kids. So, if they come home with a new random shirt, or jacket, or cap, you know where it came from.
