Update on 2020 Season
Dear Diamondbacks Family,
We wanted to send another update on our 2020 swim team season. The coaches and coordinators most definitely want to have a season, and can't wait to get started. We are still waiting for the "Go" signal from the Atlanta Swim Association (ASA). Yesterday, they sent all coordinators an email, in which they will give that signal once our state opens up Phase 2, allowing for gatherings of 50 people or more. That decision by the Governor could be at anytime, but we are hoping it will be by June 11th at the very latest. Behind the scenes, we are preparing for the team. We are getting new pricing per swimmer established, new practice procedures, and will be updating the website with all of that information in a new tab. Once ASA allows us to start up, we will immediately open registration that contains all the new information. We are hoping to start practices on Monday, June 15th. Practices most likely will look similar to previous years, with groupings by age group in the morning, and a separate combined age group in evening.
